Yet another storm in what seems like a never-ending series of intense El Nino pattern lows is currently over the Gulf of Mexico bringing gale force winds and cold rain to the Gulf and Gulf States with snow inland in parts of the Deep South.
This low will track farther south than the past few so it will affect shipping along tracks to/from US Ports South of Hatteras and US Gulf Ports. As the system moves into the southwestern North Atlantic storm to hurricane force winds are likely within 300nm south of the center.
