Project Manager, Ship Repair

<hr>
Bay Ship & Yacht, a modern shipyard located on the waterfront of San Francisco Bay in Alameda, CA, is seeking strong candidates for our Project Manager position. Every project in the yard is directed by a Project Manager - from small, quick turnarounds to major overhauls and refits.

Key job duties of a Project Manager include:

Management and oversight of the project workforce and its administrative support
Responsibility for the profitability, quality and work schedule of each project
The ultimate satisfaction of each customer whose vessel the Project Manager is in charge of.
The optimum application of company resources while successfully completing each project.

Requirements  An ideal candidate for the Project Manager Position has:

Project management experience and training, preferably in construction or facility settings.
Been responsible for contractual, financial and general administrative project processes.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan and schedule work effectively.
Experience with managing workforce, material & equipment resources with efficiency.
Good oral and written communication skills
A strong commitment to customer service is essential for this position.
Knowledge and experience with ship repair and/or boatbuilding is not required, but is desirable.

We provide drydocking and repair services to most of the commercial and government vessels on the Bay, including tugboats, ferries, Coast Guard cutters, cruise ships, pilot boats, yachts and marine vessels of all kinds. Our workforce includes many skilled welders, painters, machinists, pipefitters, electricians, dockmen and fabricators. The great variety of marine vessels drydocked at our shipyard provides challenging and interesting work for a Bay Ship Project Manager
