Default NONTRADITIONAL Degree in Maritime Transportation

Even possible without attending a Maritime Academy?

University of Phoenix for Marine Professionals anyone?

You can get degrees for everything else, is this just a pipedream?

Thats a good question! I have never heard of any schools offering this type of program, but I was just thinking about it the other day.

I think PMI/Mitags is about as close as you can get. I'm hoping someone will prove me wrong though!

Well they say they take civilians. http://www.amu.apus.edu/FAQ/FAQ.htm#difference

Plus no book to buy! That saves you several thousand right there, and at $250 an hour that's about normal for colleges these days.

    Maybe someday.

There are several schools that offer associate degrees in marine transportation and also marine engineering. The first one that comes to mind is the SIU school in Piney Point in league with St Mary's College.
