Default I NOW work in the Gulf!!!

    I got the job!!
    Just finished my first hitch.
THANKS FOR ALL the HELPFUL ADVICE!!!

job hunting with no experience SUCKS!
Saw a lot of southern LA. Visited the bigger firms first. NO JOY
they all liked my “credentials” and said so...none hired me
covered from golden medow to covington and a lot of points in between.
Hit the bricks for almost two weeks..
i think i was hired on the fifteenth try.

    The advice on:
bedding.....boat stuff ..no thanks...took my own!!
knife....spyderco ...worked but needs oiling often
rain gear...grundens.....sure glad i had it!!
i went w/ redwing boots....mine gave me a problem...i'll take them back to see if they're defective
flashlight.....pelican.........multiple times very glad i had it
shrimp boots.....got 20$ pair at wal mart.....lasted 2 days....i'll go 2 pair of redwings next time

i work on a 100 size utility boat
    i love it
    i'm on 28 ...14...

ALL THE ADVICE/ POINTER FROM G CAP REALLY HELPED!!

    THANKS TONS

TJ - Congrats on joining the rat race in Fourchon. When I was on deck I had the Shrimp Reboks at first. Then I graduated up to the Wal-Mart steel toe Black Rubber fashion boots. I still have them, yes they are cheap. But, still beats trying to dry out your high dollar boots for a couple of days.

    Safe Sailing,

    Brian

American Commercial lines in Channelview is actively hiring deckhands. aclines.com

Pays $135 a day first 90 days then automatically jumps up to $173.

They might have a captain spot.

    PM me for recruiter email.
